About Us
Uttar Khanishail Indarparaa Mosque
A place of worship, Islamic learning, and community service.
Our Mosque
Uttar Khanishail Indarparaa Mosque stands beside Dhakadakshin Degree College and has long been a centre of worship and learning for the surrounding community. It hosts the five daily prayers and Jumu’ah, and runs a Maktab where children receive their foundation in Qur’an and Islamic studies.
The mosque serves local families alongside the college community of more than 4,500 students, and is intended to support both male and female students.
What Happens at the Mosque
-
Daily prayers
The five daily prayers are held in congregation. Confirmed times will be published on the prayer times page.
-
Jumu’ah
The weekly Jumu’ah prayer brings the community together. See the Jumu’ah page for khutbah and Jama’ah details.
-
Maktab
Children learn Qur’an reading, Tajweed, memorisation, Salah, duas, Islamic studies, and manners at the Maktab.
Our Rebuilding Vision
A structural assessment found the existing mosque is no longer safe: severe rusting of the reinforcing steel has weakened the structure, and engineers have warned of possible failure during a major earthquake or ground movement.
The community’s vision is a new two-storey mosque extending towards the Eid Gaa area, with a dedicated women’s prayer area on the first floor and capacity for daily prayers, Jumu’ah, Ramadan, and Eid.
